it was beautiful inside. katherine rarely felt excited over how pretty a place in nature was, but, meteor falls managed to take her breath away. the cold cave was mesmerizing. night had already fallen, and the cave remained pitch dark. uninviting, protective of the pokemons it inhabited inside. equipped with a torch, the rocket grunt ventured inside with her loyal, floating mismagius in tow.

every now and then, amidst the duo's slow-paced walk, the hat-adorning pokemon whispered something - a chant of sorts. kat was never truly sure if she could believe the stories and myths people oft mentioned when it came to the species of her pokemon, but legend has it that they were all capable of witchcraft. and more specifically, love spells. if that was the case, then her own mismagius was certainly not interested in seeing kat with a partner anytime soon.

but then again, that wasn't so bad. being with her pokemons and by herself. she didn't need the problems that came with a relationship. once they've made their way deep inside the cave, kat paused to take a look around. see which pokemons she might be able to spot through the shadows.

a sleeping totodile.

either kat respected the fact that another creature was resting, or she was simply not interested in this particular pokemon. seeing as how she hadn't bothered to cease walking or slow her pace, it was apparent that the totodile's rest wouldn't be disturbed. instead, along with mismagius, she'd continue onwards and venture deeper into the cave. her amber-colored eyes continued to pass glances here and then, checking her immediate surroundings. there wasn't a whole lot she could see or notice, due to the lack of light, but her torch provided just enough enough to allow her to spot nearby pokemons.

"i am sure there's more to see here, mismagius." the witch-pokemon merely spoke in its ordinary, magical voice. an incantation of sorts, one kat couldn't possibly ever understand. not fully, at least. "good. let's go then."

mismagius alerts katherine of the presence of another. with a chant of sorts, the ghost-type's red gems begin to glow as she illuminated the cave further. much more than a simple torch could, at least. her amber-colored eyes drift towards the pokemon in question, a dragon-type she seems to easily recognize. fraxure. "what do you say about him, mismagius?" the purple pokemon shook its head from side to side, not willing to consider the pokemon even as an option. kat, however, did. as the fraxure shot a questioning stare at the both of them - she wondered how he'd fit into her team, if at all.

"hm, hm, hm. fine then. i doubt you'd get along."

mismagius, now completely pleased with herself, led the way for katherine. her gems continued to shine and illuminate the way - allowing kat to see the cave in its entirety. who would they come across next?

mismagius' eager levitation ceased once she spotted the next pokemon. the light that shined from her gems dimmed slightly, the ghost-type seemingly not entirely keen on being so close to this particular pokemon. "what is it?" kat asked, moving past her partner, allowing her amber-eyes to fall upon the hyderigon. "ah. are you scared?" she sneered at her own thought, which caused mismagius to shake her head and levitate closer to her trainer. almost as if proclaiming, 'i could defeat them if i wanted to!'. "oh, i see. then you are just... tired, hm? you don't want to bother with a fight, do you, mismagius?"

kat knew this wasn't the case, but it was a good enough enough of a lie to calm the ghost-type and nod their head. "fine, fine. hatenna can deal with them then, what do you say?" a nod - and it was done. the pokeball was retrieved, and the psychic type was called upon. it seemed feisty-- as if it sensed a strong emotion from someone.

the mismagius' fear, most likely. it seemed angry, but the anger was not directed at the witch-pokemon just yet. "ah- hatenna. do you mind taking over for mismagius? she's tired." a nod, and already did the psychic-type begin to approach the three-headed dragon. "use dazzling gleam, light up the cave for us!" and so - a powerful pink flash occurred, blinding the hyderigon momentarily. "now then, try disarming voice on them, hatenna. aim for the heads!"

the dragon, now upset from being attacked, opened all three of its maws. they glowed - fire collecting in one mouth, water in the second, and lightning in the third. however, as it charged its attack... mismagius gathered the courage to aid her friend. her gems glowed intensely as three beams shot from them - all aimed at the already suffering dragon-type. it lost any shot it had at winning the fight, if only due to the combined efforts of the duo.

it fainted, slamming on the ground as kat quirked her eyebrow at mismagius, "not so tired anymore, are you?" the ghost-type giggled as the pokeball was retrieved and tossed at the dragon.

click, click, click.

it was captured. and now katherine needed to leave, before some of the pokemons who lived inside the cave realized that one of their friends had been stolen.
